This site, "SEGMENT·SCOPE" (hereinafter "this site"), is a privately operated competitive automotive analysis information site for the Japanese market. Please read this Privacy Policy before using this site.

Site Overview

• Purpose: Provides competitive automotive analysis information (Benchmark) and collects and shares the voices of people who choose cars through surveys (Voice). Benchmark data is independently compiled based on information published by each manufacturer.

Survey Response Data

• Responding requires signing in with a Google account. Sign-in is used to prevent duplicate answers. The email you sign in with is kept only within the sign-in system. It is never published alongside your answers or shared with call organizers or any other company. Google names and profile pictures are not stored.
• For idea calls, organizers receive aggregated results only (never individual responses). Groups with fewer than 5 respondents are hidden, and email addresses, URLs and phone numbers in free-text answers are masked. Organizers choose whether the results are public. Current-model Voice responses are tallied as one dataset whether they are sent from the model's Voice page or from a Benchmark compare page, and the aggregated results are published on both. Figures for models or groups with fewer than 5 respondents are not shown.
• Free-text answers in current-model Voice are published on the model's Voice page (excerpts on Benchmark compare pages) for models with 5 or more respondents, with email addresses, URLs and phone numbers masked. They are not linked to when they were sent or to the same person's other answers, and names are never shown. Answers about yourself (age group, etc.) are optional and not used in the published figures.
• Respondents' names, email addresses and other personally identifying information are never provided to third parties.
• Answers to optional questions about you (age group, gender, region, current car brand and segment, next purchase timing, budget, household, annual distance driven) are used only for aggregation and analysis. The organizer chooses which to ask, and every one offers “Prefer not to say”. They are stored with each response, never on a profile, and are never taken from your Google account.
• Results never show groups with fewer than 5 respondents, or attribute filters that leave fewer than 5.
• If you choose “Remember my answers on this device”, your answers about yourself are saved only in your browser (localStorage) and filled in next time. They are not stored on our server.
• Applying for an idea call needs no sign-in. Name, affiliation and contact email are optional and seen only by the operator. The contact email is deleted 30 days after the call ends.

Access Analytics

We measure only page views, without cookies, using Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc.). What is recorded is the page address (without anything after “?” or “#”), the referring site, country or region, and device, OS and browser type. We do not record clicks, form input or answers, and we send no account, email address or answer content. Pages that open secret links (call management and review links), the list of your calls, and operator screens are not measured at all. According to Vercel, visitors are counted with a value derived from the request that changes every day, and IP addresses themselves are not stored.
